Hello reader, welcome back to my blog and thanks for tuning in! I trust you lot are doing well. As we sit patiently waiting for this cold spell of winter to pass, I thought I might as well start prepping the spring fashion must-haves. Ultimately, I can’t deny that I am one of those who sheds all winter gear for a whole new spring wardrobe, (nobody wants bad karma wearing winter clothing in the spring). However in western Canada, the seasons almost blend together such that one day you might be in a cardigan over a dress, and the next you are back to layers, mittens and scarves.
Regardless, spring fashion is very dear to my heart and I am excited to explore some trends that are already emerging for the season. I recently watched Fashion Mumblr’s Spring Trends video after creating the content for this post and was amazed at how many more elements could be incorporated in one’s style to create a spring look. Two of which I will start with are colours – namely pastels and bright colours.
Pastels are very unique in that they have a natural feminine feel and are not very loud. This structured blazer coat is an all time favourite, it is lightweight and wears well with basic colours. I decided on a white cami underneath to really brighten up the top half and add a touch of business-classy to the whole look.
Nothing screams spring as a pop of colour does – like a breath of fresh air! Bright colours project vibrance, energy and life; which are all themes associated with spring. This can be adapted into your entire outfit, or just a few pieces. I was drawn to this particular pair of heels because of the gold-plated heels, however the red velvet body has always proved an iconic style with its bright hue.
